Ramadan Mubarak to all of our families!
We ate our packed lunches in the sun then we enjoyed an action-packed afternoon with the animals. Here are some of the photographs we took of the animals at Chester Zoo. Can you guess the names of these animals?Hover over the picture to find out if you are right. Despite the long journey, the children were incredibly well behaved on the bus. They made their teachers, grown-ups and themselves very proud with their mature and patient behaviour. Well done Reception! Thank you to all of our volunteers and helpers who helped to make our trip an amazing experience.
This term we are learning all about wild animals. In preparation for our trip to Chester Zoo next week, your homework is to tell us what you already know about wild animals. Why not write a comment on the blog, email us or draw a picture. If you are not sure perhaps you could find some information in a book or on the internet with your grown-up. We will be sharing what you have found out on Monday 8th June.
Homework over the holidays is to plant the pea you were given today and document its growth! You can comment below, email us photographs or draw and write in your homework book. Please let us know how you are getting on! EYFS Sports Day was on Tuesday 2nd June. Children from Nursery and Reception all competed in a bat and beanbag race, a space hopper race and a silly dressing up race! Then the parents had a race. Well done to Selvie's dad who won in the morning and Isa's dad who won in the afternoon! The staff had a race too, and Miss Haydon managed to win both space hopper races! Well done to everyone who took part and a big thank you to the parents who came to watch and to Mr Higgins for organising Sports Day! Today EYFS completed 100 steps as part of a sponsored Stepathon to raise money for Nepal. Well done to all the boys and girls and thank you for all of the kind donations we have received! |
