Today Reception children have visited Tesco to complete the 'Farm to fork' trail and find out where their food comes from. We also visited the bakery and felt some dough, then we looked in the warehouse and the giant freezers and finally tasted some chocolate hot cross buns. Before we left we all got a goodie bag to take home as well! We have had another fun packed educational day, and the grown ups were very proud of our behaviour again! We have started thinking about a new theme for after the holidays... Popular suggestions from the children were superheroes and wild animals! Let us know what you and your child think would make a great theme... We have been having a great time this week visiting Ladybridge farm! The boys and girls have made us really proud; their behaviour has been fantastic, they have been brave and tried new things, and they have asked lots of super questions and remembered lots of facts about farm animals! Comment below to let us know your favourite part of the trip :) Our 8 chicks are having a lovely weekend at Miss Haydon's house! They have grown lots and are starting to get feathers on their wings. They love to eat and sleep. Here is a video of the chicks having their breakfast... The grown ups came to school this morning and were very excited to see that 2 of our eggs have got cracks! This is called 'pipping' and is when the chicks start to break through their shell with their beak. Update: 3 chicks are 'pipping'! If you watch the video carefully you can see a little beak! Breaking news: a chick has hatched! Watch the video to meet 'Eggward'... Latest news: we've got 8 baby chicks! The boys are yellow and the girls are brown. Can you suggest any names for the chicks? |
