Reception have been learning to take risks and keep themselves safe. Here they are exploring the 'trim trail' equipment on our Key Stage 2 playground. Congratulations to all the children in Busy Bees for achieving 100% attendance this week. All of the children and their grown ups have been great examples of the Pikes Lane school motto: Together we can be the best! Well done to all. Congratulations to Aisha in Ladybirds class who won the 'Can you see me?' competition with some gorgeous photographs! The children in Reception were lucky to have Alex, from Bolton Museum, and his dinosaur fossils for a special workshop today. Thank you to all of the parents that stayed too! The children learnt lots about dinosaurs, drew fossils and built skeletons as well as having a dinosaur dance and listening to a dinosaur story. This week Reception children have been enjoying the sunshine and getting outdoors for some super learning! The children in Reception are learning about dinosaurs! They have been extremely enthusiastic about this topic and produced some super writing linked to dinosaurs :) We are reading 'Dinosaurs Galore' this week and listening to rhyme. Please tell us if your child can finish familiar rhymes and think up their own rhyming words! |
