I know that periscopes use mirrors to reflect light so that they could see what is above and around people inside of the submarine.

I really enjoy science, I know that light travels in a straight line and it's the most fastest thing on Earth.

Well done for remembering it travels in straight lines. It isn't just the fastest thing on Earth but in the whole universe! Do you think we could slow light down if we wanted to?

It is great to hear how much you are enjoying Science. I love teaching Science! I think that it is great to really understand how things work... things all around us that sometimes we don't even think about. It blows my mind that the light we see from stars is hundreds and thousands of years old! Science never fails to amaze me!

I know that light travels in straight lines. Light travels off shiny objects like mirrors. Light is the fastest thing in the universe. Light doesn't immediately shine in the direction you point it to. It takes 8 minutes for light to travel from the sun to the earth.
