The children in Nursery have been learning about animals who live on the farm. Miss Hilton took a trip to Ladybridge Farm with some of the Reception children. The farmer gave Miss Hilton a special gift, it was an egg, but not just any egg. The egg was much bigger than the chick eggs that Reception had, so the children in Nursery passed the egg around the circle and predicted what could be inside and what animal it came from. The children predicted "Chicken" "hen" "frog" Mrs Pickup even suggested it was a Turkey's egg. Can you guess what animal our egg came from? It was a goose egg, well done if you guessed it. One of our very clever afternoon children predicted that it was a goose egg, she said " a goose is much bigger than a chicken." We are going to set up a new maths role play area - Mathdonalds! The children will be able to explore shape, size, capacity, pattern, money and number using Macdonalds and cafe resources to make it interesting!
