from Miss Hilton
The children in Nursery have been learning about animals who live on the farm. Miss Hilton took a trip to Ladybridge Farm with some of the Reception children. The farmer gave Miss Hilton a special gift, it was an egg, but not just any egg. The egg was much bigger than the chick eggs that Reception had, so the children in Nursery passed the egg around the circle and predicted what could be inside and what animal it came from. The children predicted "Chicken" "hen" "frog" Mrs Pickup even suggested it was a Turkey's egg. Can you guess what animal our egg came from? It was a goose egg, well done if you guessed it. One of our very clever afternoon children predicted that it was a goose egg, she said " a goose is much bigger than a chicken." Here you can see the difference in the size of eggs; We have had lots of fun learning about farm animals, if you would like to learn more about farm animals check out the information below. If your child tells you any interesting information, don't forget to fill in a sharing star. Have fun,

Some super predictions there, well done Nursery! Did anyone taste the goose egg? The farmer gave me one too and I made scrambled eggs but I didn't really like the taste (my puppy Shadow did though!), I think I'll stick with chicken eggs.
