This morning we completed some Maths outside! We were given lots of Maths questions which we needed to complete around the school. We worked as a team to think, measure and record our findings. Did you manage to find out how many windows there were? Which number sentences did you make using the car registration plates? As part of Maths Week, we've had a maths magician visit us at Pikes Lane! He showed us lots of Maths magic tricks! They were amazing! Which one did you like the best? The magician even made Miss Waldron and Habibah do a magic trick! It was very clever! Can you remember how he did it? Check back later to see what we did in our Magic Maths workshop! Pikes Lane have raised money for Children In Need by wearing their PJ's to school and donating a pound.Check out some of their pyjamas. Amanney Habibah Everyone(from year 1 to year 6)had to bring in an achievement that they've had that links into the learner profile. For example: certificates, trophies, medals e.t.c It was really interesting seeing what other people had achieved. I'm really looking forward to seeing more achievements. Here are a few pictures that class 6NW had. By Abigail Next week is Maths week! We've got lots of exciting Maths activities planned!
We will be taking part in some 'Maths Football'! What could that include? A 'Maths-Magician' will be coming into school to do Maths workshops with us! There will be a 'Puzzle Challenge Day' - what do you think that might include? We will also be helping some younger children with their Maths and much more! Are you looking forward to Maths Week? Have you got any ideas for Maths activities we could do during the week? Miss Waldron Yesterday, we made our own cream tea, which was delicious. We researched about this traditional tea,we found out you had to use a precise type of jam(strawberry jam)and a precise type of cream(clotted cream). Have you ever tasted cream tea? What time of day would you have it? Amanney Omami 6NW |
