We were really lucky to be invited to watch a live performance at Bolton Sixth Form College on Thursday. It was windy and cold walking there but that didn't stop us having a fantastic time! The show was brilliant and starred some fantastic actors and actresses. Which part was your favourite?
Today, children from Essa Academy came into 3SC to teach us French. We learnt animal names, colours, family names and names for different foods. Our French is coming on a treat! Can you remember some of the phrases we learnt? What does it mean in English? On Friday we were very lucky to have two Roman soldiers visiting our class. We learnt so much about the Romans and how they lived. What do you remember? What a day! We have watched and learnt how to do maths magic tricks. Which was your favourite magic trick and why? We also solved puzzles with Roman Numerals. Can anybody tell me their age in Roman Numerals or write a calculation using Roman numerals? This week we have been having so much fun with mathematics! Take a look at some of our photographs. Maybe you could have a go at the suduko puzzle. What did you enjoy the most about our activities on Monday and why? We are going to write a diary entry of 'A day in the life of a Bronze Age child' What can you remember that will help you? Remember to bring in anything you are proud of achieving so that we can add it to your Learner Profile. Take a look at some of the things we have been bringing. Today we were very lucky to welcome some pupils from Essa Academy into our classroom. They are coming into school every two weeks to teach us French. This week we learnt French vocabulary for pets, sports, food and family. We look forward to next time. Au revoir We came to school to this video. We were AMAZED to find out that the strange egg and noises were in fact a baby dragon. What do you thiink boys and girls? What can you find out that will help? Mrs Cummins After leaving the mysterious object overnight the cracks widened, a hole has appeared and green looking goo was dripping out of it. Not only that,we heard a very strange high pitched noise! Abdullah even saw the bushes rustling! What could it be? What has happened? A mystery object has appeared in our school grounds. It is oval shaped, is brown in colour and there appear to be cracks in the top. One witness reports hearing a noise coming from inside, what on earth could it be? On a drizzly, murky Thursday classes 3CB and 3SC set off with great excitement on our trip to Clitheroe Castle. Somehow we all managed to fit onto one coach! At the castle we learned about many different things: we made a motte and bailey out of sand, learned about the history of the castle, made armour for Sir Eggbert (can you guess what he was?), listened to a fantastic story about the myth of the Clitheroe Castle dragon, practised salutes to dragons and were told all about the different kinds of dragons. A fantastic school trip on which we saw the countryside, learned many different things and had lots of fun! 10/10 |
