The boys and girls in Reception have been learning about the Hindu festival Navratri. Navratri means 'nine nights' and it is a festival dedicated to the worship of the Hindu goddess Durga. The grown ups wore saris for school today and introduced our new photo booth! The children then dressed up and accessorised for the festivities and took 'selfies'! The children have been learning about pattern and created some of their own rangoli patterns. The children have been making some traditional Navratri treats: coconut squares!
