The children have been baking bread, they worked together taking turns, sharing resources and all had a go to mix the ingredients. First, the children each placed a cup of bread flour into a bowl, they then each added a tea spoon of yeast, one tablespoon of salt and two cups of warm water. The children took it in turns to mix the sticky dough, they then all got very hands on and kneaded, squashed and squeezed the dough. The dough was then split and each child moulded the dough into a small ball and placed it on a baking tray. The bread was then left to prove (which means the air makes the bread rise) and then they were baked for 20 minutes.
