The LitterBusters! started their first litter pick of the new year wearing their striking, new, green LitterBusters! coats. As well as providing the team with protection against the elements whilst on their litter picks the green coats will also raise the profile of the group, allowing children, staff and visitors to the school to be able to identify the LitterBusters! and inform them of any litter hot spots. Don't forget to talk to the LitterBusters! about any eco concerns you may have or any eco work you may be involved in. We would love to hear all about it!
Well done to all the children in Year 4 and the LitterBusters! for taking part in Bolton Council's 'Love Bolton Hate Litter' campaign day on Tuesday the 4th of July. In just two hours the children collected over 30 bags of rubbish from the streets around Pikes Lane, making a massive positive impact on their local environment. Some of the more obscure findings during the litter pick included a golfing umbrella, a leather jacket, an ipad case, and a suitcase! |
