I have read a few different stories by Michael Morpurgo. My favourite has got to be 'The Butterfly Lion'. I have read it 3 or 4 times and I still love to read it now! I have not read 'Kensuke's Kingdom' before but I am already really enjoying it!

Yes, I know one of his books which is called Running Wild and has an elephant in it. The story is mainly based from the tsunami of 2004 in Japan (I think).

The wreck of the Zanzibar has been recommended to me before. Would you recommend that I read it? I would definitely recommend The Butterfly Lion to you. It has a bit of a twist ending I would say.

My son, Jack, has a collection in his room also. Most of his ones seem to include animals. He read 'Friend or Foe' in a couple of nights... I think he must have enjoyed it!

I've heard of Friend or Foe and read but I have not finished it. Most of Michael Morpurgo's books are based on animals or the world war.

I love this book... the part that I always remember is where he tries to send the lion away from his farm so he can't be taken in by the man wanting him in the circus. It must have been heartbreaking for him to have been so mean to the lion even though he was trying to do his best for him!

Michal morpurgo became an author because he read a book by ted Hughes and he was inspired by him so he tried to write a book and he did and he realised writing books is a talent.

Have you read any Ted Hughes books? I used to love reading 'The Iron Man'. It was one of those books that I read over and over again and never got bored of reading. I would recommend it to you!
