Today was our Year 2 trip to Brockholes in Preston. It was a very big nature reserve and we were all extremely excited to go! We came to school ready and raring to go! Here are some pictures to show what we got up to... Throughout the day we joined in with many exciting activities.
First of all we had a short lesson about Brockholes Nature reserve, what it is and what types of animals live around there. Then we learnt how to make a fire without using matches or lighters! We made dens in the woodland using large logs! We were great collaborative learners! We got a little bit of time to play in the park before and after we ate our lunch. We worked in groups to make a piece of 'Environmental Art' They were AMAZING! We made 'Tree Spirits' out of clay and left them at Brockholes. Finally we got our hands well and truly muddy and created a Pikes Lane banner with our muddy handprints surrounding it! What a fantastic day! As always 2LW, I was so impressed with your behaviour! Well done. You really did me proud! Why don't you leave a comment about your favourite part of the day or something that you enjoyed doing? Miss Witham :) |
